Stop Your Dog Chewing Up Your Home
Young dogs, and puppies are likely to be very bad about biting. You see a litter of them, and every one of the ones which are awake are biting another one or themselves.
I'm not even sure they understand that
once they are alone, as long as they quit biting, they would quit being bitten. At three or four months they're getting their adult teeth, and it also seems they spend every waking moment biting or chewing. One thing you are able to do
at that stage may be to knot and wet a bit of cloth. Then freeze it. The cooling will soothe the gums. Only let the puppy have it you are there to watch it. I believe young pups favorite chew toy is an additional pup. Otherwise they settle for any person they can. They keep hoping to find one which won't yelp, jerk their hand away, and leave.
you basically need to keep on correcting them, hundreds of times, not dozens. One method i've employed in the past and to great effect , is fill a little spray bottle which has a solution of half water and half vinegar so when they begin to chew furniture ,you or something else you dont desire destroyed spray the dog in the mouth and nose area avoid the eyes the taste of a typical vinegar tends to put the dog off chewing. Provide sturdy, safe toys comparable to Kongs and Nylabones. Avoid things they can chew pieces off and choke on them. Keep them far from electrical cords. Crates are essential for most young dogs.
The pet stores are filled with toys that many dogs will quickly chomp into pieces they may choke on or cause intestinal blockages. In case you are not there to observe, stick to sturdy stuff such as Nylabones and Kongs.Kongs are a great toy cause you are able to fill the lining with tit bits and a
dollop of peanut butter this really assists in keeping the dogs mind of chewing Keep an eye on chew toys and quickly discard anything that is coming apart in pieces. Rawhide is extremely bad because it swells after being swallowed, pigs ears
undoubtedly are a great little treat and keeps the animal busy for ages I do not trust any one of the consumable chews. The dogs just gnaw them down to a hazardous size too soon. These problems are the worst with, although not limited to, large, aggressive chewers such as Labs.and German Shepards ?and such? other large dog breads for more infomation and tips join my mailing list
